Hello, I'm Aimee Marva!
I am a mom - one that is tring to do the best she can, striving to become MARVAlous.

Mom
I became a Mom in early 2020 right before the world shut down for COVID-19. It's crazy to look back because the 'picture' of what life would look like as my husband and I brought our daughter (Madison) home was a typical one. [Except for the fact that we had a new baby and had no idea what we were doing.] Two weeks later, the world changed as we all went into lockdown. We were staying inside anyways as first timers trying to figure out parenting, but then quickly realized the next year (and then some) would be different than we planned. Anyways, now my daughter is almost 4 years old and is a wonderful gift to our lives. I'll tell you though...I do not consider myself a super 'mushy' mom. I am realistic. I am straight-up. Having enough patience to raise a kid can be difficult, but each day I'm thankful for our family exactly the way it is.

Working Professional
I'll start by saying...I have always been a nerd. I got a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Advanced Analytics. I now manage and work on a team of Data Scientists and Advanced Analytics professionals and love the technical aspect. As a full-time mom with a full-time job, it can be hard to balance, but doing both is 100% worth it to me. I have a lot of pride as I go to work each day and am able to use my career in an impactful way. I knew going into my career that I would find the best way for us to manage everything. That may sound impossible, but we have found what works for us, which is what life is all about in my opinion.

Blogger
Over the past 5 years, I have learned so much about myself. In everything I do I tend to spend a decent amount of time to do my 'research'. Now, I have found myself researching (which some may call googling) just about every milestone with my daughter. When it comes to the parenting side, my view is to tackle it as 'trial and error'. It's not as much about error in parenting, but (once again) figuring out what works best for your family. I've learned from other Mom's feedback and want to provide my own feedback on whatever I can for whoever I can. We will see how this goes.
